VIP (Vertical Integration Platform), a newly formed department that's dedicated to the emerging vertical segments such as VARdigital signage, medical and vehicle applications. Pivoting on AOpen's notorious MoDT technologies, this department will bring years of design, manufacturing and services capabilities to assists and system integrators to address these vertical needs with products and services that are geared to perform critical tasks.

Digital Engine and AAD (Advanced Aggregate Display) will be the kernel product lines that address the needs of high-reliability, energy-efficiency, small form factor and highly-integrated devices that can power digital signage, POS, Kiosk, medical, education and even vehicle PC's applications. A dedicated FAE and sales engineer team will be assisting VARs and system integrators to tackle applications that utilize PC as a backbone and build required software and services to meet specific tasks.

"After running this operation and helping VARs and system integrators anonymously for years, we finally make it official so that we can have a focal point, a website, and a presence that allow vertical VARs and system integrators to look for solutions that they need" Al Peng said, VIP's head and an AOpen veteran tenured for more than a decade.

"We have been doing this kind of work since 1998 partnering with VARs and system integrators to put AOpen motherboard into machines that power other machines" further comment by Al Peng

"Yes, I recalled working with a VAR in The Great Lakes. AOpen's AX6BC motherboard is the engine that controls one humongous machine with more than 60 motors running simultaneously. Man! I was in the state of shock when I saw this monster" Al Peng says.

"AX6BC finally retired with honor not because it stops heart beating, but because the machine needs a new and powerful CPU of today to handle more complex graphical interface and data traffic" said Al Peng
